Stock, also known as Matthiola, is a classic British cottage-garden flower with tall, upright stems carrying dense clusters of soft, ruffled blooms. The effect is full and romantic, which makes it a lovely choice when you want more presence than a single-headed flower gives.
In this collection our florists build each design around stock, usually pairing it with complementary seasonal blooms and foliage for shape and volume. Every bouquet is assembled in-house and arrives hand-tied, ready to go straight into a vase.
We list the available sizes and what's included on each design, so you can see exactly what you're ordering before checkout.
Yes. Fragrance is one of the main reasons people choose stock: the blooms give off a warm, sweet, clove-like scent that carries across a room. It's one of the more strongly perfumed cut flowers we work with.
If you're buying for someone who loves fragrant flowers, stock is a natural fit. If the scent needs to stay light, for a small room or a workplace, tell us when ordering and we can adjust the arrangement or suggest a gentler alternative.
Add any preferences in the order notes or through our support team, and our florists will take them into account.
With good care, our flowers typically stay fresh for up to around 12 days, and stock performs well in the vase over that time. The exact life depends on room temperature, regular water changes and keeping the stem ends trimmed.
Every order includes care instructions, so the recipient knows how to get the most from the blooms: clean water, a fresh vase and a spot away from direct heat or sunlight make the biggest difference.
We also back orders with a 7-day freshness guarantee, so if the flowers don't last as they should, we'll make it right.
Often, yes. In London we offer same-day delivery by our own drivers in three-hour slots from morning through to midnight, with standard same-day from £8 and an urgent option to the next available slot for £15.
Outside London, same-day delivery is available on orders placed before 3pm, except on Sundays, and starts from £5; next-day delivery also starts from £5. We deliver 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays.
The exact options for your recipient's address are confirmed by postcode at checkout, so you'll see the available slots before you pay.
Yes, we deliver to most areas across the UK. The only part we don't cover is Northern Ireland.
In London we use our own drivers and dedicated couriers for hand-to-hand delivery. Elsewhere we send orders with Royal Mail Tracked and other trusted couriers; more than 90% of these arrive on the chosen date, with occasional delays of up to a day.
Availability is set automatically by the recipient's postcode at checkout. You can also place an order from anywhere in the world for delivery within the UK.
Prices generally start from around £25 for our smaller bouquets and rise with size and the number of stems; we show the price on each design, and all prices include VAT.
Delivery is free on selected bouquets, which carry a free-shipping label. Where a charge applies it depends on location and speed, starting from £5 outside London and from £8 for London same-day.
You'll see the final bouquet price and any delivery charge at checkout once the recipient's postcode is entered, so nothing is added unexpectedly.
A stock bouquet works for most occasions where you'd send flowers: birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you gestures, new-home and get-well wishes, and romantic surprises all suit its full, fragrant style. The soft tones also make it a gentle, respectful choice for sympathy.
Traditionally, stock has been linked with lasting affection and contentment, which adds a thoughtful note when you're marking something meaningful.
If you're unsure which design fits the occasion, send us a message and we'll recommend something suitable from the collection.
The colour range is soft and romantic, typically running from whites and creams through to pinks, lilacs and deeper purples, so designs here lean towards gentle, elegant tones.
Available shades vary by design and by what is at its best with our growers, so the simplest approach is to choose the bouquet whose look you prefer.
If you have a particular colour in mind for an occasion, mention it in the order notes or contact our team before ordering, and we'll let you know what we can do.
It will closely reflect what you see. We photograph our bouquets at their actual size, the standard image usually shows the Medium size, and dimensions are given in centimetres so the scale is clear.
Because flowers are natural and seasonal, small differences between individual stems are normal. Before dispatch we send you a photo of the real bouquet our florists have assembled, and you can ask for adjustments if you'd like a change.
If anything isn't right at that stage, just reply and we'll sort it before the order goes out for delivery.
Stock is at its most plentiful in spring and early summer, and we aim to keep this collection available beyond that with help from our growers, though availability can still vary with the season and weather.
If a particular stock variety isn't available when you order, we may substitute an element with a flower of equivalent value and quality, keeping the overall look and feel of the design. Where we can, we'll agree any change with you first.
If you need stock specifically for a date or occasion, let us know in advance and we'll confirm what's possible before you order.
You can add all of these. A greeting card carries your own message, and it's the only way your name reaches the recipient, as all orders are anonymous by default unless you sign the card.
Alongside flowers we offer chocolates, hampers, soft toys, candles and balloons, so you can build a fuller gift in one order. Prices are set per item, from a box of chocolates at £8.90 up to keepsake gifts at higher prices.
Add your message and any extras during checkout, and they're prepared and delivered together with the bouquet.
Contact us as soon as you can and we'll put it right. We accept quality claims for up to 30 days after delivery, and to review one we'll ask for clear photos, your order reference and the delivery details.
We aim to review claims within five working days. Depending on what's gone wrong, the outcome may be a replacement delivery, a full or partial refund, or a refund of the delivery charge, returned to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days.
If you simply change your mind, an order can be cancelled within 30 minutes of payment for a full refund, since assembly may begin soon after.
You can pay with PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, as well as major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others) through Shopify Payments. The exact cards on offer can depend on your region and card issuer. All prices are displayed with VAT included.
