What Does 50 Roses Symbolise?

Fifty roses have long been associated with unconditional, boundless love—a gesture that speaks louder than words ever could. In the traditional language of flowers, this quantity conveys a sentiment without limits or reservations, making it a profound declaration of deep affection.

Yet the most meaningful bouquets are those that carry your own intention. Whether you're celebrating half a century together, marking a milestone birthday, or simply wishing to overwhelm someone with beauty, fifty roses become whatever you need them to be. The sheer abundance transforms any message into something unforgettable.

When 50 Roses Make the Strongest Impression

A bouquet of this scale is designed for moments that deserve to be extraordinary. Consider fifty roses when you want to:

- Celebrate a golden wedding anniversary or fifty years of friendship - Mark a landmark birthday ending in zero - Make a marriage proposal truly spectacular - Apologise in a way that leaves no doubt about your sincerity - Surprise someone who believes they've seen it all

This is not an everyday gesture—and that's precisely the point. Fifty roses announce that something significant is happening, that this moment matters, and that the recipient deserves to feel genuinely cherished.

How We Arrange 50 Roses for Maximum Impact

Fifty stems require expert handling to achieve the right balance between drama and elegance. Our florists arrange bouquets of this size in a generous dome shape, allowing each bloom to be visible whilst creating a cohesive, sculptural effect.

The roses are positioned at varying heights to add dimension and movement. We use minimal foliage—just enough to frame the flowers without competing for attention. The result is a bouquet that feels abundant rather than cluttered, with every stem contributing to the overall impact.

Wrapping is kept refined: premium paper in a complementary tone, secured with ribbon. The presentation enhances the roses without overwhelming them.

Which Rose Colours Work Best in 50-Stem Bouquets

With fifty blooms, colour choice becomes even more significant. A single shade creates a powerful, unified statement—classic red for romance, pristine white for elegance, or soft pink for tender affection.

For those who prefer variety, a tonal gradient works beautifully at this scale: blush fading into champagne, or coral deepening into burgundy. The quantity provides enough visual space for subtle transitions that would be lost in smaller arrangements.

We'd suggest avoiding more than three distinct colours in a fifty-rose bouquet, as the impact comes from cohesion rather than contrast. If you're uncertain, our florists can recommend combinations that suit both the occasion and the recipient's taste.

Size & Vase Guide for 50 Roses

A bouquet of fifty roses typically stands between 45 and 55 centimetres tall, with a width of approximately 40 centimetres once fully opened. This is a substantial arrangement that commands attention.

For display, you'll need a vase with a wide mouth—at least 15 centimetres in diameter—and sufficient weight at the base to support the blooms without tipping. A cylinder or flared vase in clear glass works particularly well, allowing the stems to form part of the visual presentation.

Best placement is on a sturdy surface at or below eye level: a dining table centrepiece, a hallway console, or a living room side table. Avoid positioning near direct heat sources or in strong sunlight, which can shorten the flowers' lifespan.

Delivery Notes for Larger Rose Bouquets

Bouquets of this size are hand-delivered by our couriers rather than left unattended. We recommend ensuring someone is available to receive the flowers, whether at home, an office reception, or another staffed location.

Each stem is individually hydrated and the bouquet travels in protective packaging designed to prevent movement and bruising during transit. For London addresses, we offer delivery within three hours of ordering; nationwide deliveries arrive the following day.

If you're sending to a workplace, do check that the recipient has desk space for an arrangement of this scale—or let us know, and we can include a note suggesting they take it home to enjoy.

How to Make a 50-Rose Gift Feel Extra Special

Even with fifty roses, thoughtful details elevate the gesture further. Our complimentary personalised card allows you to include a handwritten-style message—crafted with our AI tool or composed entirely in your own words.

Consider pairing the bouquet with a gift that extends the experience: luxury chocolates to enjoy whilst arranging the flowers, a scented candle for the room where they'll be displayed, or a keepsake vase they can use for years to come.

Timing matters too. A surprise delivery during a working day creates a memorable moment; an evening arrival allows you to witness their reaction in person. Both have their charm—choose whichever suits your story.

Our Freshness Promise on 50 Roses

Every rose in your bouquet is individually inspected before it leaves our hands. With fifty stems, this attention to detail matters more than ever—a single wilted bloom would compromise the entire arrangement.

We guarantee a minimum of five days' vase life from the moment of delivery. Should any flower fail to meet this standard, we'll replace it without question.

Before dispatch, we send you a photograph of the finished bouquet, so you'll know exactly what your recipient will unwrap. It's our way of ensuring that what you imagined is precisely what arrives.

FAQ
How much does a bouquet of 50 roses cost?

Our 50-rose bouquets start from £54.90. The final price depends on the colour and the arrangement style you choose, so a Grand presentation costs more than a Compact one.

We show the exact total at checkout once you've selected your options, and every price includes VAT. Delivery is charged separately and depends on where the flowers are going and how quickly you need them.

To see a precise figure, open any bouquet on this page, choose your colour and size, and the total updates before you pay.

What colours are available for 50 roses?

You can choose red, white, pink, hot pink, a mix, or a white-and-red mix. Red is the classic choice for romantic occasions, while a mix suits something brighter or less traditional.

You select the colour on the bouquet page before checkout, alongside the arrangement size. If you'd like guidance on what fits the occasion, our team is available 24/7 by phone, WhatsApp or email.

How big is a bouquet of 50 roses?

Fifty roses make a large, full arrangement, and you control how it's presented by choosing Compact, Classic or Grand.

The photographs on each product page reflect the real proportions of the flowers, and sizes are shown in centimetres, so you know what will arrive. The style you choose mainly changes how widely the roses are arranged rather than the number of stems.

If you're unsure which option suits the recipient's space, ask us before ordering and we'll talk it through.

Can I get 50 roses delivered the same day?

Yes, same-day delivery is available in many areas. In London, our own drivers deliver in three-hour slots running through to midnight, handed directly to the recipient.

Outside London, same-day delivery applies to orders placed before 3pm and isn't available on Sundays; otherwise, next-day delivery is the standard option. Because coverage varies, the available slots are confirmed by the recipient's postcode at checkout.

Ordering earlier in the day keeps the widest choice of delivery times.

Which areas do you deliver 50 roses to?

We deliver to most areas across the UK, every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. Northern Ireland is the one area we don't currently cover.

In London, orders go out with our own drivers and couriers. Beyond London, we use Royal Mail Tracked and other trusted UK couriers, and more than 90% of these orders arrive on the chosen date, with a possible delay of up to one day.

The delivery options for any address are set automatically by the recipient's postcode when you order.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is priced by location and speed, and the exact cost appears at checkout once the recipient's postcode is entered.

In London, standard same-day delivery is £8, and an urgent slot for the next available window is £15. Outside London, same-day delivery (placed before 3pm, excluding Sundays) and next-day delivery are each £5.

Some bouquets carry a free-shipping label, so the final charge depends on the option and destination you choose.

How long will 50 roses stay fresh?

With proper care, the roses usually last up to 12 days, and we include care instructions with every order so the recipient gets the most from them.

We also back our flowers with a 7-day freshness guarantee. If something isn't right, contact us with a photo and your order reference, and we'll put it right with a replacement or another suitable remedy.

Fresh water, a clean vase and a cool spot away from direct heat all make a real difference to how long they hold.

Can I see a photo of the bouquet before delivery?

Yes. Before we dispatch your order, we send a photo of the actual bouquet our florists have assembled, so you can see exactly what will arrive.

If you'd like a change, tell us and we'll adjust the arrangement before it leaves us. This step helps keep the finished bouquet in line with what you expected when you ordered.

We send the photo to the contact details you give at checkout, so please make sure they're correct.

Can I add a card, chocolates or another gift?

Yes. You can add a personalised greeting card with your own message, along with extras such as chocolates, hampers, candles, balloons or a soft toy.

These add-ons are chosen during the order, next to your bouquet, and they're a simple way to round out the gift. The greeting card is also where the recipient sees who the flowers are from.

Browse the gift options as you check out and add whatever suits the occasion.

Will the recipient know who sent the roses?

By default, all our orders are anonymous. The recipient won't see your name unless you choose to include it.

To sign the gift, add your name to the greeting card message at checkout — that's the only place the sender's details appear. If you'd rather keep it a surprise, simply leave the card unsigned.

This way, you decide whether the delivery arrives as a named gift or a mystery.

Can I order 50 roses from outside the UK?

Yes. You can place an order from any country in the world for delivery to an address within the UK, and our checkout supports international payment. Payment options include PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others) through Shopify Payments. The exact cards on offer can depend on your region and card issuer. Prices are shown inclusive of VAT.

You choose the bouquet, colour and size as usual, enter the UK recipient's address, and pay in the normal way. The delivery options are then set by the recipient's postcode, exactly as they are for orders placed inside the UK.

If you'd like help completing an order from abroad, our support team is available around the clock by phone, WhatsApp or email.

Can I cancel or change my order after paying?

You can cancel within 30 minutes of payment for a full refund. After that, cancellation may not be possible, because our florists may already have begun preparing your bouquet.

If you need to update delivery details rather than cancel, contact us as soon as you can and we'll help where we're able to before the order is dispatched. The photo we send before delivery is also your chance to request changes to the arrangement.

To cancel or amend an order, reach us by phone, WhatsApp or email with your order reference to hand.

What happens if the roses arrive damaged or aren't right?

Contact us and we'll make it right. We accept quality claims for up to 30 days after delivery, and we ask for clear photos along with your order reference and delivery details.

We review claims within 5 business days. Depending on the case, the outcome can be a replacement delivery or a refund — full or partial — with any refund returned to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

The quickest way to start is by phone, WhatsApp or email, with your photos ready to send.
