What We Mean by "Winter" Flowers

Winter bouquets at MyFlowers bring together blooms that thrive during the colder months and arrangements designed to capture the season's distinctive character. From deep burgundy amaryllis and frosted white roses to textured pine accents and silvery eucalyptus, each composition reflects the quiet elegance of the British winter landscape. We select varieties known for their resilience in cooler temperatures, ensuring longer vase life even when central heating creates challenging indoor conditions. Seasonal availability guides our sourcing, meaning you receive flowers at their natural peak rather than forced or out-of-season stems that fade quickly.

Design Details That Make Bouquets Feel Truly Winter

Our winter arrangements favour rich, saturated tones balanced with cool whites and silvers that echo frost-touched mornings. Expect dense, layered compositions where velvety ranunculus nestles against waxy hypericum berries and sprigs of fragrant pine. Texture plays a central role: we incorporate elements like dried seed heads, feathery ferns, and glossy camellia foliage to create visual depth. The silhouettes tend toward generous, rounded forms that feel abundant and warming, perfect for brightening shorter days. Ribbon choices lean towards muted satin or natural linen, reinforcing an understated sophistication rather than overt festive sparkle.

When to Choose Winter Flowers Over Classic Options

Consider winter bouquets when you want your gift to feel seasonally relevant and thoughtfully chosen. They suit milestone celebrations during November through February, from significant birthdays to retirement tributes and golden anniversaries. Corporate gifting benefits particularly: a winter arrangement signals attention to detail and an understanding of the moment, elevating standard goodwill gestures. These bouquets also work beautifully for hosts during the holiday entertaining season, offering something more distinctive than predictable red-and-gold arrangements. For sympathy occasions in winter months, seasonally appropriate stems convey respect with quiet grace.

Care tips

How We Source and Select Winter Blooms

Our buying team works with trusted growers across the Netherlands, the Channel Islands, and selected British nurseries to secure winter-appropriate varieties. Each delivery undergoes inspection upon arrival at our London facility, where stems are checked for hydration, petal integrity, and overall condition. We prioritise suppliers who follow sustainable growing practices, reducing reliance on excessive heating and artificial lighting. Blooms that fail our quality threshold never reach a bouquet. This hand-selection process means occasional variety substitutions when specific stems fall short, but we guarantee the overall aesthetic and quality standard remains consistent throughout the season.

Packaging & Presentation for Winter Bouquets

Winter arrangements arrive in our signature gift boxes, providing protection against temperature fluctuations during transit. Inside, blooms rest in water-retaining packaging that maintains freshness from our facility to the recipient's door. Tissue paper in seasonal tones wraps each bouquet, secured with ribbon that complements the colour palette. A complimentary personalised card—created using our AI message assistant if you wish—accompanies every delivery. The unboxing experience feels considered and gift-worthy from the first moment, requiring no additional wrapping before presenting to your recipient.

Winter Flowers and Our Freshness Promise

Our five-day freshness guarantee applies fully to winter bouquets, despite the challenges the season presents. Should any arrangement fail to meet expectations upon arrival, our customer service team arranges a replacement promptly. We provide care instructions tailored to winter conditions, advising recipients on optimal placement away from radiators and draughts. The seasonal hardiness of properly selected winter varieties often means these bouquets exceed the guarantee period when cared for correctly, bringing colour and life to homes well beyond the promised timeframe.

Who Will Appreciate Winter Flowers Most?

Recipients who value thoughtful, seasonally aware gestures respond particularly well to winter bouquets. Those with an eye for interior styling appreciate how these arrangements complement neutral Scandi-inspired spaces or traditional British homes during the colder months. Nature lovers recognise the quality of properly seasonal blooms over generic hothouse roses. Anyone celebrating a winter birthday or anniversary will notice when flowers reflect the time of year rather than ignoring it. For colleagues, clients, or acquaintances where you want to convey sophistication without excessive familiarity, winter arrangements strike precisely the right tone.

Pairing Winter Bouquets with Gifts and Experiences

Enhance your winter flowers with additions that extend the seasonal theme. Our artisan chocolate selection, featuring rich dark varieties, complements the deep tones of winter arrangements beautifully. Scented candles in amber, cedar, or spiced fragrances create a cohesive sensory gift when presented alongside seasonal blooms. For particularly significant occasions, consider pairing your bouquet with a subscription, ensuring your recipient enjoys fresh winter arrangements throughout the coldest months. A handwritten note suggesting a cosy evening in—perhaps with the flowers as a centrepiece—transforms a beautiful gift into a memorable experience.

FAQ
What flowers are in the Winter Flowers collection?

Our Winter Flowers collection brings together bouquets built around seasonal stems that suit the colder months, so the exact varieties shift as availability changes through the season. You'll find hand-tied arrangements in festive and classic palettes, plus compact letterbox options.

Every bouquet here is assembled in-house by our own florists. The photos reflect the real size of each arrangement — Medium is shown by default, with dimensions listed in centimetres.

If supply changes on the day, we may substitute a stem of equivalent value and quality, keeping the look close to what you ordered. Browse the bouquets above to see what's available now, then choose your size and delivery date at checkout.

Will the flowers survive cold weather during delivery?

Yes. We select seasonal flowers suited to winter, hand-tie them fresh on the day and pack them for transit. In London, our own drivers and dedicated couriers deliver hand-to-hand, which limits time spent outdoors; elsewhere, orders travel with Royal Mail Tracked and other trusted UK couriers.

Before your order leaves us, we send a photo of the finished bouquet, so you can check its condition and ask for changes if needed.

Every order is covered by our 7-day freshness guarantee, and we include care instructions to help the blooms settle once indoors. If anything arrives in poor condition, contact us within 30 days with clear photos and your order reference, and we'll put it right.

Can I order winter flowers for same-day or next-day delivery?

Same-day and next-day delivery are both available in many areas. In London, we deliver same-day in three-hour slots from 09:00 through to midnight, with the latest slots subject to availability. Outside London, same-day delivery is available when you order before 15:00 — though not on Sundays — and next-day delivery is offered too.

Whether a slot is open depends on the recipient's postcode and the date you choose, so the available timings are confirmed at checkout before you pay.

Delivery starts from £8 in London and £5 elsewhere, so you can match the speed to your occasion.

Can I get winter flowers delivered in time for Christmas?

We deliver every day of the year, including Christmas and other holidays, so you can send winter flowers right through the festive season.

December is one of our busiest months, so we recommend ordering early and confirming your delivery date as soon as you can — popular slots fill quickly at this time of year.

The dates and timings available for a given address are shown at checkout, so you can review them before paying. If you'd like help choosing or timing a festive order, our support team is on hand 24/7 by phone, WhatsApp and email.

Which areas of the UK do you deliver to?

Delivery covers most areas across the UK, with Northern Ireland the one region we're currently unable to serve.

Options are set automatically by the recipient's postcode when you place the order, so you'll see exactly what's available for that address before paying. In London we use our own drivers for hand-to-hand delivery, while elsewhere we rely on Royal Mail Tracked and other trusted UK couriers.

For UK-wide orders outside London, more than 90% arrive on the chosen date, with any delay usually no more than a day. You can also order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a UK address.

How much does delivery cost?

It depends on the recipient's location and how quickly you need the flowers. In London, standard same-day delivery is £8, while an urgent slot for the next available window is £15. Outside London, both same-day (ordered before 15:00, excluding Sundays) and next-day delivery are £5.

You'll also see some bouquets marked with free shipping on their product card, so the final charge depends on the item and the delivery method you choose.

The delivery cost is confirmed at checkout once you've entered the postcode and chosen a date, with nothing added afterwards. All prices on our site include VAT.

How much do the bouquets cost?

Most of our bouquets start at around £25.90–£29.90 and rise to roughly £60.90 for some of our signature designs. If you'd prefer roses, custom rose bouquets are configured by stem count and can reach about £69.90.

Prices vary with the size, flowers and style you choose, and every price on the site includes VAT.

You'll see the exact figure for each bouquet and size on its product page, with any add-ons and delivery shown clearly before you pay.

How long will the flowers last?

With proper care, our flowers typically last up to 12 days. Every order includes care instructions, and a spot indoors away from radiators and draughts tends to help blooms last well through winter.

We also stand behind every order with a 7-day freshness guarantee. If the flowers don't last as they should, we'll make it right.

If you're unhappy with the quality, contact us within 30 days of delivery with clear photos and your order reference. We review claims within five business days, and where a refund applies, it's returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Will I see the bouquet before it's delivered?

You will. Before your order leaves us, we send a photo of the actual hand-tied bouquet so you can check it matches what you expected.

If you'd like an adjustment, let us know and we'll amend it where possible before dispatch. This step is especially reassuring for gifts, as orders are anonymous by default — the sender's name appears only if you add it to the card message.

The photos on this page reflect real bouquet sizes, with Medium shown by default and measurements given in centimetres, so you have clarity from the moment you order through to delivery.

Can I add a gift or personalised card to my order?

Gifts and cards can be added to any order. Pick a greeting card with your own message, plus extras such as chocolates, a hamper, a candle, soft toys or balloons, all at the same checkout.

For a sense of pricing, a Milk Tray chocolate box is £8.90, Champagne Truffles £11.90 and a teddy bear £14.90, so you can match the gift to the occasion and budget.

Do remember that orders are anonymous unless you sign the card, so add your name to the message if you'd like the recipient to know the flowers are from you.

Can I set up regular winter flower deliveries?

Yes, through our flower subscription. You can receive fresh bouquets every 14 days or once a month, and pick a Seasonal style if you'd like arrangements that follow the time of year.

Subscriptions come in four sizes — Small at £25, Medium at £39, Large at £49 and Extra Large at £59 — and delivery is always free. Classic Mix, Roses and Mono styles are available too.

You manage everything from your account or the app, including pause, skip, reschedule and cancel, plus changes to frequency, size, style or address. Changes should be made at least four business days before a delivery, rising to up to 10 days during peak periods such as Christmas.

What happens if no one is home when the flowers are delivered?

If the recipient isn't in, we'll do our best to complete the delivery, and the bouquet can usually be held for 24 hours. A redelivery can then be arranged for £15.

To avoid a missed delivery in winter, it helps to check the recipient will be available, or to choose a letterbox bouquet — these fit through a standard letterbox, so no one needs to be home.

If you have any concerns about access or timing, our 24/7 support team can help you arrange the best option by phone, WhatsApp or email.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others) through Shopify Payments. The cards shown can vary by region and card issuer. All prices are displayed with VAT included.
