Few flowers command attention quite like the lily. With their sculptural petals, heady fragrance and striking presence, lilies have captivated cultures across the globe for thousands of years. The ancient Greeks associated them with Hera, queen of the gods, while Victorian flower dictionaries praised their ability to convey messages too profound for words.
What makes lilies particularly meaningful as a gift is their remarkable versatility. A single stem carries multiple blooms that open gradually over several days, creating a living display that evolves and transforms. This unhurried unfurling mirrors the way meaningful relationships develop—slowly, beautifully, and with increasing depth. Whether you're celebrating a milestone, offering comfort, or simply reminding someone they matter, lilies speak with an eloquence that transcends ordinary gestures.
Their fragrance, too, sets them apart. Sweet yet sophisticated, it fills a room without overwhelming, creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury that lingers long after the occasion has passed.
Lilies suit an impressive range of occasions, making them a reliable choice when you want to strike exactly the right note.
Celebrations and milestones – Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and promotions all call for flowers with presence. Lilies deliver that sense of occasion without appearing fussy or overdone.
Romantic gestures – While roses often steal the spotlight, lilies offer a more nuanced expression of devotion. Their elegance suggests depth of feeling rather than fleeting passion.
Sympathy and remembrance – White lilies have long been associated with funerals and memorial services, symbolising the restored innocence of the departed soul. Their serene beauty brings comfort during difficult times.
Gratitude and appreciation – When a simple "thank you" feels inadequate, lilies convey the weight of genuine gratitude. They're ideal for teachers, mentors, healthcare workers, or anyone who has made a meaningful difference.
Corporate and professional settings – Their sophisticated appearance makes lilies appropriate for business contexts where informality might seem out of place.
Our florists select each lily stem at the optimal stage—buds just beginning to show colour, promising days of gradual blooming ahead. A typical bouquet features three to seven stems depending on size, with each stem bearing multiple buds that will open sequentially.
We complement our lilies with carefully chosen supporting elements: eucalyptus for its silvery-green foliage and subtle scent, gypsophila for delicate texture, or ruscus for structural definition. These companions enhance rather than compete, allowing the lilies to remain the undisputed focal point.
Every arrangement is hand-tied by our skilled florists, who understand how to position each stem for maximum visual impact while ensuring the blooms have space to open fully. The result is a bouquet that looks stunning on arrival and continues improving over the following days.
White lilies represent purity, virtue and renewal. They're the traditional choice for weddings, christenings and sympathy arrangements, carrying connotations of innocence and transcendence.
Pink lilies speak of admiration, femininity and gentle affection. Softer shades suit tender sentiments, while vibrant pinks express joyful celebration and youthful energy.
Orange lilies radiate confidence, enthusiasm and warmth. Their bold hue makes them ideal for congratulatory bouquets or brightening someone's spirits during challenging times.
Yellow lilies convey gratitude, happiness and friendship. They're perfect for platonic relationships or occasions that call for cheerful optimism rather than romantic undertones.
Red lilies symbolise passion, desire and bold romantic intention. Less common than their counterparts, they make a striking statement for someone special.
Stargazer lilies, with their distinctive pink-and-white speckled petals, represent ambition, prosperity and good fortune—excellent for career celebrations or new ventures.
Small – Three to four stems with complementary foliage. Ideal for intimate gestures, desk arrangements, or when space is limited. The perfect choice for a thoughtful "just because" gift without making an overwhelming statement. Typically suits a slender vase and fits comfortably on a bedside table or small surface.
Medium – Five to six stems creating a more substantial display. This size works beautifully for most occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you gifts, or get-well wishes. It makes a genuine impression without appearing excessive. Suitable for a standard dining table centrepiece or prominent shelf.
Large – Seven or more stems arranged into a truly impressive bouquet. Reserved for significant milestones, grand romantic gestures, or situations where you want the flowers to be unmissable. This size commands attention in larger spaces—entrance halls, reception areas, or open-plan living rooms.
Consider both the occasion and the recipient's living situation. A large bouquet might overwhelm a studio flat, while a small arrangement could feel underwhelming for a landmark birthday.
Lilies demand particular care to reach you in pristine condition, and our supply chain reflects this understanding.
We source our stems from trusted growers who harvest at precisely the right moment—when buds are mature enough to open reliably but before they've begun blooming. This timing ensures you witness the full lifecycle rather than receiving flowers already past their peak.
From farm to warehouse, our lilies travel in temperature-controlled conditions that maintain the cool environment these flowers prefer. Upon arrival at our facility, each stem undergoes individual inspection. We check for healthy foliage, unblemished buds, and sturdy stems capable of supporting the heavy blooms lilies produce.
For delivery, we package lilies in protective sleeves that prevent petal damage while allowing adequate airflow. Stems rest in water-retaining gel or sealed reservoirs to maintain hydration throughout their journey. Our five-day freshness guarantee means that if your lilies fail to meet expectations, we'll arrange a replacement—no quibbles, no complicated procedures.
Three-hour delivery (London) – Order before 3pm and we'll have your lilies delivered within three hours to any London address. Perfect for last-minute occasions or spontaneous gestures when waiting simply isn't an option.
Standard London delivery – Choose a convenient slot between 8am and 6pm. This option is free and allows recipients to anticipate their arrival rather than being caught off-guard.
Next-day UK delivery – Order by 10pm and we'll deliver anywhere in mainland Britain the following day. Whether your recipient lives in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Cornwall or anywhere between, we'll reach them.
Timed delivery slots – For occasions where precision matters—surprise parties, romantic dinners, specific visiting hours—select a narrower window and we'll coordinate accordingly.
During peak periods (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas), we recommend ordering at least 48 hours in advance. Demand surges significantly, and while we expand our capacity, earlier orders secure your preferred delivery window.
Proper aftercare can extend your lilies' display life by several days, allowing you to enjoy every bud as it opens.
Initial preparation – Trim approximately 2–3 centimetres from each stem at a diagonal angle using clean, sharp scissors or secateurs. This fresh cut exposes new tissue capable of drawing water efficiently. Remove any foliage that would sit below the waterline, as submerged leaves decay quickly and encourage bacterial growth.
Water and vase – Fill a clean vase with fresh, room-temperature water. Lilies drink enthusiastically, so check levels daily and top up as needed. Change the water completely every two to three days, rinsing the vase and re-trimming stems each time.
Positioning – Place your arrangement away from direct sunlight, radiators, and fruit bowls. Heat accelerates wilting, while ripening fruit releases ethylene gas that shortens flower life. A cool room with indirect light provides the ideal environment.
Pollen management – As blooms open fully, consider removing the orange pollen-bearing anthers. This prevents staining on petals, tablecloths and clothing, and may also extend the flower's longevity slightly.
Lilies make a striking gift on their own, but thoughtful additions can transform your gesture into something truly memorable.
Chocolates – Premium truffles or artisan chocolate boxes complement the sophistication of lilies. Their indulgent nature pairs naturally with flowers associated with special occasions.
Candles – Since lilies bring their own fragrance, opt for unscented or subtly scented candles in elegant containers. The combination creates an atmosphere of relaxed luxury.
Vases – A beautiful vase ensures your recipient can display the flowers immediately without hunting for a suitable container. It also becomes a lasting keepsake long after the blooms have faded.
Greeting cards – Our personalised cards, including our AI-assisted message option, help you express exactly what you want to say. Whether you're struggling for words or simply want a polished finish, we'll help you get it right.
Prosecco or wine – For celebratory occasions, a quality bottle elevates the entire gift into true indulgence. Particularly fitting for anniversaries, promotions, or landmark birthdays.

With proper care, our flowers typically stay fresh for up to 12 days, and every order arrives with care instructions to help you get the most from them. Tulips behave a little differently from many cut flowers: they keep growing in the vase and lean towards the light, which is natural rather than a flaw.
Vase life also depends on the warmth of the room and how soon the stems reach water, so keeping them cool and topped up makes a real difference.
Should the flowers fade sooner than expected, contact us with your order details and we'll sort it out.
Tulips are a seasonal flower, so the range we can offer changes through the year depending on what's at its best from our growers. The collection on this page always reflects what we're able to source and arrange right now.
If a particular tulip or colour becomes hard to obtain after you've ordered, we may substitute a bloom of equivalent value and quality, and we'll aim to agree any change with you where possible.
For the current choice, browse the live collection and read each bouquet's description before ordering.
Each design shows the colours it features, so you can choose the look you want, from single-colour tulips to mixed arrangements, directly from the product page.
If you have a particular shade in mind that you can't see in the collection, contact us before ordering by phone, WhatsApp or email. Our florists will tell you what's available from current stock and suggest the closest match.
Once you've decided, select your design and size and add any personal touches at checkout.
The photographs reflect the real arrangement and its true size, with the image usually showing the Medium option; sizes are listed in centimetres so you can judge the scale.
Before we dispatch, we send you a photo of the actual hand-tied bouquet for approval. If you'd like a change, tell us and we'll adjust it before it leaves us. Because every stem is natural, slight variations from the photo are normal and to be expected.
This approval step means you can order knowing what will arrive.
Every order includes care instructions, so you'll have clear guidance alongside the flowers. To help tulips last, trim the stems, use clean, cool water, and keep the vase out of direct sunlight and away from heat and ripening fruit.
Tulips drink a lot, so top the water up regularly and refresh it every couple of days. It's also normal for the stems to keep growing and bend towards the light once they're in the vase.
Rearranging them every day or two keeps the display looking its best for longer.
You can add a greeting card with your own message and choose from gifts such as chocolates, hampers, soft toys, candles and balloons during checkout.
Every order is anonymous by default, so the recipient won't know who sent the flowers unless you include your name in the card message. This is worth remembering if you'd like your gift recognised.
Add your wording and any extras on the bouquet page before you pay, and we'll include them with the delivery.
