What We Mean by "Festive" Flowers

Festive flowers are bouquets crafted specifically to mark celebrations, seasonal occasions and moments of collective joy. At MyFlowers, this category gathers arrangements designed around the rhythms of the British calendar: Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Bonfire Night and everything in between. Each bouquet earns its place here through seasonal blooms chosen at their peak, colour palettes that echo the spirit of the occasion and compositions that feel deliberately celebratory rather than everyday.

What sets festive arrangements apart is intentionality. These are not generic bouquets with a ribbon added; they are designed from stem to wrapper with a specific moment in mind. You will find winter whites and deep reds for December, pastel tulips and ranunculus for spring, warm autumnal tones for harvest gatherings. Seasonal sourcing ensures freshness and relevance, while thoughtful design transforms flowers into an extension of the celebration itself.

Design Details That Make Bouquets Feel Truly Festive

Festive bouquets rely on visual storytelling. Colour is the first signal: rich burgundies, forest greens and golds speak to winter warmth, while bright yellows, soft pinks and lavenders announce spring renewal. Our florists select shades that resonate with British traditions, avoiding anything that feels out of step with the season.

Texture plays an equally important role. Expect velvety roses alongside spiky eryngium in a Christmas arrangement, or delicate sweet peas paired with fuller peonies for a summer celebration. Foliage choices—eucalyptus for winter, ruscus for spring—add depth and movement. The silhouette of each bouquet is considered too: a hand-tied dome for intimate gatherings, a looser, more abundant style for parties and larger events.

Finishing details matter. Festive arrangements often include accent elements—berries, pine cones, dried citrus slices or seasonal grasses—that catch the eye and reinforce the theme without overwhelming the flowers. The result is a bouquet that feels cohesive, confident and unmistakably suited to the occasion.

When to Choose Festive Flowers Over Classic Options

Festive bouquets are the right choice when the occasion itself carries weight: landmark birthdays, Christmas dinners, Easter brunches, retirement parties, milestone anniversaries. They signal that you have thought about the moment, not simply grabbed something beautiful.

Choose festive flowers when you want the arrangement to become part of the décor. A Christmas bouquet in deep reds and whites becomes a centrepiece; a Valentine's arrangement sets the tone for the evening. These bouquets are designed to be noticed, to prompt comment and to anchor the celebration visually.

Festive arrangements also work well for corporate gifting during key seasonal periods. Sending a Christmas bouquet to a valued client or partner demonstrates attentiveness to timing and tradition. For hosts and hostesses, arriving with flowers that echo the party's theme shows a level of care that a standard bouquet cannot match.

Care tips

How We Source and Select Festive Blooms

Seasonality dictates our sourcing. We work with growers in the UK, the Netherlands and further afield who can supply blooms at precisely the right moment. Amaryllis and hyacinths arrive for winter; tulips and daffodils for spring; sunflowers and dahlias for late summer celebrations.

Every delivery is inspected on arrival. Our team checks each stem for freshness, colour accuracy and structural integrity before it enters the studio. Blooms that fall short are rejected. This hand-selection process ensures that only the strongest, most vibrant flowers make it into festive arrangements.

Sustainability matters. We prioritise suppliers who use responsible growing practices and minimise air freight where possible, favouring seasonal British flowers when available. This approach reduces environmental impact while delivering fresher, longer-lasting bouquets.

Packaging and Presentation for Festive Bouquets

Presentation elevates a festive bouquet from gift to experience. Each arrangement is wrapped in protective tissue and secured in our signature box, designed to survive transit while revealing beautifully on arrival. For seasonal occasions, we introduce themed accents: a ribbon in seasonal colours, a sprig of pine tucked into winter deliveries, or a small decorative tag that complements the celebration.

The unboxing moment is considered throughout. Recipients open to see blooms arranged as they will display, stems hydrated and protected, a handwritten or AI-assisted card nestled alongside. The goal is a first impression that feels generous, thoughtful and occasion-appropriate.

For London same-day and three-hour deliveries, our couriers handle arrangements with care, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition regardless of the schedule.

Festive Flowers and Our Freshness Promise

Every festive bouquet carries our five-day freshness guarantee. If blooms fail to last, we replace or refund without hesitation. This promise applies whether you order a simple spring posy or an elaborate Christmas centrepiece.

Freshness begins at source. Seasonal flowers travel shorter distances and spend less time in storage, arriving at their natural peak. Our cold-chain handling maintains that vitality from warehouse to doorstep.

You receive a photograph of your completed bouquet before dispatch, so you know exactly what your recipient will see. This preview ensures transparency and confidence, reinforcing our commitment to delivering precisely what we promise.

Who Will Appreciate Festive Flowers Most?

Festive bouquets suit recipients who value tradition, atmosphere and attention to detail. They are ideal for parents and grandparents who mark every holiday with care, for hosts who take pride in their table settings, and for colleagues or clients who appreciate seasonally appropriate gestures.

Anyone celebrating a significant moment—an engagement at Christmas, a springtime christening, a summer garden party—will find that festive flowers amplify the occasion. These arrangements speak to people who notice when things are done well and who understand that the right flowers at the right time carry meaning beyond their beauty.

For those difficult-to-buy-for recipients, a festive bouquet sidesteps guesswork entirely. The season provides the theme; the flowers do the rest.

Pairing Festive Bouquets with Gifts and Experiences

Festive flowers gain impact when paired thoughtfully. For winter celebrations, consider adding luxury chocolates or a scented candle in seasonal fragrances—cinnamon, pine, spiced orange. A bottle of champagne alongside a New Year's Eve bouquet transforms the delivery into a complete celebration kit.

Spring and Easter arrangements pair well with artisan biscuits or a small potted plant that the recipient can enjoy long after the cut flowers have faded. For summer occasions, think along the lines of a vase that suits garden-style bouquets, or a hamper of seasonal preserves.

Beyond physical additions, consider timing. A festive bouquet delivered on the morning of a dinner party gives the host time to display it; one sent to arrive on Christmas Eve builds anticipation. The combination of beautiful flowers, a well-chosen extra and perfect timing creates a gift that lingers in memory well beyond the occasion itself.

FAQ
What's included in the Festive Flowers collection?

The collection gathers our seasonal hand-tied bouquets suited to the festive period, from ready-made signature designs to brighter, celebratory arrangements.

Most bouquets are hand-tied and ready to drop straight into a vase. Letterbox bouquets are made to fit through a standard letterbox when no one will be home, and if you prefer roses you can build a custom bouquet by stem count, colour and size.

Open any bouquet to see its flowers, the available sizes and the current price.

How late can I order festive flowers to arrive in time for Christmas?

You can often order close to the date you need — in London we offer same-day delivery in three-hour slots when you order in time, and the cut-off for each postcode is confirmed at checkout.

Outside London, same-day delivery needs an order before 15:00 and isn't available on Sundays; otherwise next-day and scheduled dates are available. Around 95% of orders arrive on time.

As Christmas is a peak period, we'd recommend ordering early and choosing your delivery date at checkout so we can reserve the slot.

Do you deliver over weekends and bank holidays during the festive season?

We deliver 365 days a year, including weekends and public holidays, so your festive bouquet can arrive on the day that matters most across most of the UK.

Availability for a specific date depends on the recipient's postcode, which we confirm at checkout. One detail worth knowing for weekend gifting: outside London, same-day delivery isn't offered on Sundays, though other slots stay available.

During the busiest festive dates we'd recommend booking ahead so we can hold your preferred delivery day.

Which parts of the UK do you deliver festive flowers to?

We deliver to most areas across the UK. The one exception is Northern Ireland, which we don't currently cover.

Delivery options are matched to the recipient's postcode at checkout, so you'll see exactly what's available before paying. In London we use our own drivers and dedicated couriers for hand-to-hand delivery; elsewhere we rely on Royal Mail Tracked and other trusted UK couriers.

If you're unsure whether an address is covered, enter the postcode at checkout and the available dates and methods will appear.

How much do festive flowers cost?

Festive bouquets start from around £25.90–£29.90 and reach roughly £60.90 for some of our signature designs, while custom rose bouquets go higher depending on stem count. All prices include VAT.

What you pay reflects the size, the flowers chosen and any add-ons such as chocolates or a greeting card. Delivery may be free on selected bouquets or charged by area and urgency — London same-day, for example, starts at £8 — and the final amount is shown at checkout.

Choose a bouquet to see its current price and the options available.

How long will the flowers stay fresh over the festive period?

With proper care, our flowers typically stay fresh for up to 12 days, and every order includes care instructions to help them last through the festive period.

We also back each bouquet with a 7-day freshness guarantee, so if the flowers don't last as they should within that time, we'll put that right.

Planning to send them before Christmas? Following the enclosed care card keeps the bouquet looking its best right through the celebrations.

Can I send a festive bouquet anonymously and include a personal message?

Yes. Every order is anonymous by default — your name appears only if you add it yourself to the card message.

You can include a greeting card with your own text as a paid add-on, which is ideal for festive wishes or a Christmas note. We deliver straight to the recipient's address, so the bouquet can be a complete surprise.

Just add your message at checkout and we'll print it exactly as you've written it.

Can I add chocolates or other gifts to a festive order?

You can add chocolates, hampers, candles, balloons, toys and a personalised greeting card to build a fuller festive gift around your flowers.

To give a sense of the range, options include a Milk Tray Chocolate Box at £8.90, Champagne Truffles at £11.90, a Teddy Bear at £14.90 and Magic Candles at £4.90. Prices include VAT.

You'll find these extras on the bouquet page and at checkout, ready to add in a few clicks.

Will the bouquet match the photo, and can I see it before delivery?

Yes on both counts. Our website photographs reflect the real size of each arrangement, with measurements shown in centimetres and the image usually picturing the Medium size.

Before we dispatch your order, we send a photo of the actual bouquet our florists have made, and you can ask for adjustments if you'd like a change.

Occasionally, if a particular flower is hard to source — more likely during the busy festive season — we may substitute it for one of equal value and quality, agreeing the change with you where possible.

What can I do if the flowers arrive damaged or wilted?

Get in touch and we'll make it right. You can raise a quality claim within 30 days of delivery by contacting us by email or phone with clear photos, your order reference and the delivery details.

We review claims within 5 business days. Depending on the situation, we can arrange a replacement delivery, a full or partial refund, or a refund of the delivery charge, with money returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

This sits alongside our 7-day freshness guarantee and your statutory consumer rights.

Can I order festive flowers from abroad for delivery in the UK?

Yes. You can place an order from any country in the world for delivery to someone in the UK — our site and payment system are set up to handle international orders.

You can pay by PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others) through Shopify Payments, through a secure, PCI DSS compliant checkout, and every price is shown inclusive of VAT. The exact cards on offer can depend on your region and card issuer.

Enter the UK delivery postcode at checkout to see the festive dates and delivery options available for that address.

Can I set up regular seasonal flower deliveries instead of a one-off?

We offer this through our flower subscription, which includes a Seasonal style — our florists pick fresh seasonal blooms for each delivery, a natural fit for the festive months.

You can choose a size from Small (£25) to Extra Large (£59), with delivery every 14 days or monthly, and subscription delivery is always free. Everything is managed from your account or the app, where you can pause, skip, reschedule, change the size, style or address, or cancel.

Tell us your preferred frequency and size when you sign up, and we'll handle the rest.
