Lavender holds a singular place in the British floral tradition. Its soft, silvery-purple hues and unmistakable fragrance evoke memories of cottage gardens, rolling Provençal fields, and warm summer evenings. Unlike bolder blooms that demand attention, lavender whispers rather than shouts—making it the flower of choice when you want to convey calm, thoughtfulness, and genuine affection.
This herb-flower hybrid carries centuries of meaning. In the Victorian language of flowers, lavender symbolised devotion, serenity, and grace. Today, it remains closely associated with relaxation and wellbeing, qualities that feel especially precious in our fast-paced world. A lavender bouquet tells the recipient that you wish them peace, that you've chosen something considered rather than conventional.
Lavender suits occasions where subtlety matters more than spectacle. It makes an elegant "thank you" for a host, a mentor, or a colleague—professional enough for the workplace yet warm enough to feel personal. For someone recovering from illness or navigating a difficult period, lavender's soothing associations offer comfort without overwhelming.
These bouquets also shine at milestone moments that call for refined understatement: a housewarming, a retirement, or an anniversary where the relationship has matured beyond grand romantic gestures. Lavender pairs beautifully with sympathy arrangements too, its quiet dignity conveying respect and remembrance. If you're uncertain whether roses feel too romantic or lilies too formal, lavender often strikes exactly the right tone.
Our florists build lavender arrangements around generous bundles of fresh English or French lavender stems, selected for both colour intensity and fragrance. Because lavender's form is delicate and linear, we complement it with soft, rounded blooms—think pale roses, lisianthus, or spray chrysanthemums—that provide visual balance and fullness.
Foliage plays a crucial role. Eucalyptus adds a silvery-green contrast and a subtle herbal scent that harmonises with lavender's own aroma. Dusty miller, with its velvety grey leaves, reinforces the bouquet's muted palette. Each arrangement is hand-tied in water-retaining packaging to keep stems hydrated from our workshop to your recipient's door.
True lavender ranges from pale lilac to deep violet, and each shade carries its own nuance. Soft, pastel lavender suggests femininity, grace, and youthful elegance—ideal for new mothers, young graduates, or anyone who appreciates gentle beauty. Mid-tone lavender, the classic hue most people picture, speaks of calm sophistication and makes a versatile choice for nearly any recipient.
Deeper purple-lavender edges toward richness and regality, conveying admiration and respect. This shade works well for professional acknowledgements or when you want to honour someone's achievements. White lavender varieties, though rarer, symbolise purity and peace, making them particularly appropriate for weddings or sympathy tributes. When in doubt, classic mid-lavender remains universally flattering.
Our Small lavender bouquet offers an elegant gesture without excess—perfect as a thoughtful "just because" gift or when you're sending to a small flat where space is limited. It typically measures around 25–30 cm in height and fits comfortably in a standard bedside vase.
The Medium option suits most occasions, from birthdays to thank-you gifts. Expect a fuller presentation, approximately 35–40 cm tall, with enough visual impact to make a statement on a dining table or hallway console. Our Large lavender bouquets are designed to impress: generous, abundant arrangements that fill a room with fragrance and colour. Choose this size for significant celebrations, corporate gifts, or when you simply want the recipient to feel thoroughly spoiled.
Lavender demands careful handling to preserve both its colour and its signature scent. We source stems from trusted growers who harvest at optimal maturity, ensuring the buds retain their aromatic oils. Upon arrival at our workshop, bundles are conditioned in cool storage, away from direct sunlight, which can fade the blooms prematurely.
Each bouquet is assembled just before dispatch and secured in moisture-retaining packaging with hydration reservoirs to keep stems fresh during transit. We stand behind every delivery with our five-day freshness guarantee: if your lavender doesn't meet expectations upon arrival, we'll replace it or refund you—no fuss, no forms.
Within London, we offer three-hour express delivery for those moments when time is tight. Simply place your order before 3 p.m., and our couriers will have your lavender bouquet hand-delivered the same afternoon. For planned occasions, choose a specific delivery slot between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to ensure your gift arrives exactly when you need it.
Across the rest of the UK, we provide next-day delivery as standard. Orders placed before midnight reach most mainland addresses the following day. During peak periods—Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas—we recommend ordering at least 48 hours ahead to secure your preferred slot. You'll receive real-time tracking updates and a photograph of your bouquet before it leaves for delivery.
To maximise vase life, trim approximately two centimetres from the base of each stem at a 45-degree angle using sharp scissors or secateurs. This fresh cut allows the stems to draw water efficiently. Fill a clean vase with cool, fresh water and add the flower food sachet included with your delivery.
Position the arrangement away from direct sunlight, radiators, and ripening fruit—all of which accelerate wilting. Change the water every two to three days, rinsing the vase to prevent bacterial build-up, and re-trim the stems each time. With proper care, your lavender should remain vibrant for seven days or longer. Once the blooms begin to dry, consider hanging the bunch upside down; dried lavender retains its fragrance for months.
Lavender's calming character pairs naturally with gifts that encourage relaxation. A scented candle in complementary notes—vanilla, bergamot, or chamomile—extends the sensory experience long after the flowers have faded. Premium chocolates, particularly those with floral or herbal infusions, offer an indulgent companion without competing for attention.
For a spa-inspired gift, consider adding a luxury hand cream or bath product featuring lavender essential oil. If you're sending to someone who enjoys a glass of wine, a bottle of crisp English sparkling wine makes a sophisticated pairing. Browse our add-ons at checkout to build a thoughtful gift set tailored to your recipient's tastes.
If lavender brings you joy, why limit yourself to occasional bouquets? Our subscription service delivers fresh arrangements on a schedule that suits you—weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Each delivery arrives with the same care and quality as a one-off order, yet you'll benefit from preferential pricing and the simple pleasure of flowers appearing at your door without the need to reorder.
Subscriptions also make a generous ongoing gift. Treat a parent, a friend, or a colleague to regular deliveries that brighten their home throughout the year. You remain in full control: pause, skip, or cancel at any time with no penalties. It's the easiest way to ensure lavender's soothing presence becomes a constant rather than an occasional delight.
Our lavender collection brings together hand-tied bouquets built around soft purple, lilac and violet shades, arranged in-house by our florists. The exact stems depend on the design and the season, so the flowers vary from one bouquet to the next; many feature blooms such as roses or lisianthus in lavender tones, set off with complementary greenery.
Every product page shows the flowers used, and the photographs reflect the real size and proportions, usually pictured in the Medium size. To see precisely what a particular bouquet contains, open its page for the full description, or message us and we'll talk it through before you order.
Prices in this collection generally start at around £25.90–£29.90 and reach roughly £60.90 for some of our signature designs, with custom rose arrangements priced higher. Each bouquet shows its own price, and all prices on our site include VAT.
The final cost depends on the design and size you choose, plus any add-ons such as a card or chocolates and the delivery option for the recipient's postcode. You'll see the full total at checkout, including delivery, before you pay.
Yes, in many cases we can deliver the same day. In London we deliver by hand through our own drivers and couriers, with same-day slots across the day. Outside London, same-day delivery applies to orders placed before 15:00 and isn't available on Sundays.
Availability always depends on the recipient's postcode and the time you order, so the options that apply are confirmed at checkout. In London, standard same-day delivery starts from £8, with an urgent nearest-slot option from £15; outside London, same-day and next-day delivery start from £5.
We deliver to most areas across the UK, with the exception of Northern Ireland, which we don't currently cover. Delivery options are set automatically by the recipient's postcode when you place the order.
We dispatch 365 days a year, including weekends and bank holidays. You can also order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a UK address, which suits senders abroad who want flowers to arrive here. Within London we deliver by hand; elsewhere we use Royal Mail Tracked and other trusted UK couriers.
With proper care, our flowers typically stay fresh for up to 12 days, and we include care instructions with every order to help them last. We also stand behind freshness with a 7-day freshness guarantee.
Lavender-toned blooms keep best out of direct sunlight and away from heat, in a clean vase with fresh water and a fresh trim to the stems. If something isn't right with the flowers you receive, get in touch and we'll put it right.
Yes. Before dispatch we send you a photo of the actual bouquet our florists have prepared, so you can see exactly what's going out.
If you'd like an adjustment at that stage, such as a tweak to the balance of colours or the styling, let us know and we'll amend it where we can before it leaves us. This step is especially useful for a colour-led collection like this one, where you may have a particular shade of lavender in mind.
Many of our designs offer a choice of size, and each product page shows the sizes available for that bouquet along with the price for each. Sizes are given in centimetres, and the main photo usually shows the Medium option.
For custom rose bouquets you can also choose the number of stems, from 20 up to 100, and the arrangement style: Compact, Classic or Grand. If you're unsure which size will suit the occasion, message us and we'll advise before you order.
Lavender and lilac tones suit a wide range of occasions — birthdays, anniversaries, get-well wishes, a new home, thank-you gestures, sympathy and simply thinking of someone. The soft, calming palette works for both celebratory and quieter, more reflective moments.
If you're shopping for a specific moment, our occasion collections can help you narrow the choice. Orders are anonymous by default, so the recipient won't see your name unless you add it to the gift card message.
Yes. You can add a greeting card with your own personal message, which is a paid add-on, along with extras such as chocolates, hampers, candles, balloons or a soft toy to go with the flowers.
Since orders are anonymous by default, the card is how the recipient knows who sent them — your name appears only if you include it in the message. You can add these items on the bouquet page or at checkout before you pay.
If a particular flower is hard to source, we may substitute it with a bloom of equivalent value and quality, keeping the look and feel of the bouquet you chose. For this collection that means we hold to the lavender and lilac palette wherever possible.
Where we can, we'll agree any substitution with you in advance. The photo we send before dispatch is also your chance to check the bouquet matches what you expected and to ask for changes before it goes out.
Yes, you can set up a flower subscription with deliveries every 14 days or monthly, choosing the size — Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large — and a style. Subscription delivery is always free, and you can pause, skip, reschedule, change or cancel from your account or the app.
Subscription styles are Classic Mix, Roses, Mono and Seasonal rather than a dedicated lavender theme. You're welcome to note a colour preference, though each delivery is arranged by our florists from fresh seasonal stock, so the exact shades will vary. Changes need to be made at least 4 business days before a delivery, and longer during peak periods such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day.
Get in touch with us by email or phone within 30 days of delivery, and share clear photos of the flowers along with your order reference and the delivery details. That helps us review what happened quickly.
We aim to review claims within 5 business days. Depending on the case, we can offer a replacement delivery, a full or partial refund, or a refund of the delivery charge; refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.
If you simply change your mind, an order can be cancelled within 30 minutes of payment for a full refund, after which our florists may already have started work.
Payment options include PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others) through Shopify Payments. Which cards appear may vary with your region and card issuer. Prices are shown inclusive of VAT.
