What Does 20 Roses Symbolise?

Twenty roses carry a message of sincere devotion — a way of saying your feelings run deeper than casual affection. Traditionally, the number suggests genuine gratitude or a heartfelt "thank you" that words alone cannot express. Yet the true meaning always belongs to you: whether you are celebrating two decades together, marking a milestone birthday, or simply showing someone they matter, the bouquet speaks in the language you choose to give it.

When 20 Roses Make the Strongest Impression

A bouquet of twenty roses strikes the ideal balance between understated elegance and unmistakable impact. It feels generous without overwhelming an office desk, and it carries enough presence to command attention at a dinner table or anniversary gathering. Consider twenty roses when you want to mark a significant occasion — a landmark birthday ending in zero, a twentieth wedding anniversary, or a congratulatory gesture that calls for something more than a dozen yet remains refined. They also work beautifully as an apology that must be taken seriously or as a romantic surprise that declares commitment rather than fleeting fancy.

How We Arrange 20 Roses for Maximum Impact

Twenty stems allow our florists to create a dome-shaped, luxuriously full display while preserving each bloom's individual beauty. We spiral the roses tightly at the binding point so the heads fan outward in a classic rounded silhouette, ensuring the bouquet looks equally striking from every angle. A restrained collar of seasonal foliage — typically eucalyptus or ruscus — frames the roses without competing for attention, adding texture and a subtle green contrast. The arrangement is finished in quality kraft paper and ribbon, designed to protect the blooms in transit and unwrap with a satisfying sense of occasion.

Which Rose Colours Work Best in 20 Bouquets

With twenty roses, a single colour makes a powerful, cohesive statement: classic red for romance, ivory for purity and respect, or soft blush for gentle admiration. If you prefer variety, we recommend limiting your palette to two complementary shades — perhaps champagne paired with dusty pink, or cream accented with peach — to preserve visual harmony at this generous stem count. A full rainbow mix can appear festive rather than refined, so we suggest reserving multicolour combinations for celebratory moments where exuberance is the goal.

Size & Vase Guide for 20 Roses

A bouquet of twenty long-stemmed roses typically stands between 45 and 55 centimetres tall once arranged in water. To display them properly, choose a vase with a wide mouth — around 15 to 18 centimetres in diameter — so the stems can spread naturally and the heads have room to open fully. A cylinder or flared-top design works best; avoid narrow-necked vessels that force the blooms to crowd. Position the vase on a dining table, hallway console, or sideboard where it can be appreciated at eye level and enjoys indirect light, away from radiators or direct sun that would shorten vase life.

Delivery Notes for Larger Rose Bouquets

Twenty roses travel in our protective aqua-pack sleeve, which keeps stems hydrated from doorstep to vase. Because of their fuller form, these bouquets are hand-delivered rather than letterbox-posted. If you are sending to a workplace, rest assured the arrangement is designed to fit comfortably through standard office doorways and onto a reception desk. We offer timed delivery slots across London and next-day service throughout the UK, and our couriers will attempt redelivery or leave the bouquet in a safe place if instructed. You will also receive a photo of the finished arrangement before dispatch, so you know exactly what your recipient will see.

How to Make a 20-Rose Gift Feel Extra Special

Pair your bouquet with a handwritten note using our complimentary card service — or let our AI greeting tool craft a personalised message if inspiration runs short. Adding a premium gift such as artisan chocolates, a scented candle, or a glass vase elevates the gesture into a complete occasion. For an anniversary, consider timing delivery to arrive first thing in the morning so the roses are already waiting when your loved one wakes.

Our Freshness Promise on 20 Roses

Every rose in your bouquet is inspected for stem strength, petal condition, and hydration before it leaves our facility. We guarantee at least five days of vase life from delivery; should any bloom fail to meet that standard, we will replace the bouquet or refund you in full. A photo confirmation of your finished arrangement is sent directly to you before the courier departs, ensuring the bouquet matches the quality you expect.

FAQ
How much does a bouquet of 20 roses cost?

Our 20-rose bouquets start from £29.90. The final price depends on the arrangement size you choose — Compact, Classic or Grand — and on any extras such as a card or a gift.

Roses are priced by stem count, so 20 sits at the entry point of our rose range; fuller options of 30, 50 and 100 stems are available if you'd like something larger. Every price on the site includes VAT.

The exact total is confirmed once you've chosen the colour, size and delivery option, so you see the full amount before ordering.

What rose colours can I choose for 20 roses?

You can choose red, white, pink or hot pink, or go for a mix — including a white-and-red combination.

Red is the classic choice for romantic occasions, while pink and hot pink suit birthdays, congratulations and thank-you gestures; a mixed selection works well when you'd like something less traditional. The colour is picked on the product page before you add the bouquet to your basket.

If you're unsure which shade fits the occasion, our team can help at any time by phone, WhatsApp or email.

What's the difference between the Compact, Classic and Grand options?

These are the three ways we arrange and present your 20 roses, and they mainly change how full and styled the bouquet looks rather than the number of stems.

Compact gives a neat, rounded presentation; Classic is our standard, balanced arrangement; Grand is the most generous and open. You select the size on the product page, and it's reflected in the final price.

If you're undecided, Classic is a dependable middle option, and the photographs on the page show the real proportions of each, so you can see what you're choosing.

Can you deliver 20 roses on the same day?

Yes, same-day delivery is available across much of the UK, and availability is set by the recipient's postcode.

In London, same-day orders go out with our own drivers and couriers and are handed directly to the recipient. Outside London we use Royal Mail Tracked and trusted couriers, where same-day requires an order before 15:00 and isn't offered on Sundays.

We deliver 365 days a year, so weekends and holidays are covered. Since availability varies by address, the same-day cut-off for your recipient is confirmed before you pay.

Can I choose the delivery date and a time slot?

Yes. When ordering you select the delivery date, and in London you can also pick a three-hour time slot, from morning windows through to late evening.

For deliveries outside London, most orders arrive on your chosen date, with any delay normally no more than a day; specific timed instructions can't be guaranteed there. Around 95% of our deliveries arrive on time overall.

The dates and slots open to the recipient's postcode appear during checkout, so you can plan around the occasion before confirming.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery cost depends on the destination and how quickly you need the roses. In London, standard same-day delivery is £8, and an urgent slot in the next available window is £15.

Outside London, both same-day (ordered before 15:00, excluding Sundays) and next-day delivery are £5. Some bouquets also carry free shipping, which is shown on the product itself.

The options and prices for the recipient's address are calculated when you check out, so the final figure is clear before you confirm the order.

Will I see a photo of the bouquet before it's delivered?

Yes. Once our florists have hand-tied your 20 roses, we send you a photo of the actual bouquet before it leaves us.

If anything isn't quite right, you can ask us to adjust it before dispatch. You're not ordering blind — you see the real arrangement rather than only the catalogue image, and can be confident about what the recipient will receive.

The photo reaches you through the contact details you give at checkout, and you can then track the order's progress in real time.

How long will the roses stay fresh?

With proper care, our roses typically last up to 12 days, and every order includes care instructions to help you get the most from them.

We also back freshness with a 7-day freshness guarantee: if the flowers don't last seven days, we'll make it right. Clean water topped up regularly, a fresh trim on the stems and keeping the bouquet away from direct heat all extend their life.

If you're ever unhappy with how your roses held up, contact us within 30 days with a photo and your order reference, and we'll review it.

What happens if the roses arrive damaged or aren't as expected?

Get in touch and we'll look into it. We accept quality claims for up to 30 days after delivery, and we'll ask for clear photos of the flowers along with your order reference and delivery details.

We review claims within five business days. Depending on the case, the outcome may be a full or partial refund, a refund of the delivery charge, or a replacement delivery; refunds return to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.

You can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or email, and the photo we send before dispatch is there to prevent most issues in the first place.

Can I add a card message or a gift to the roses?

Yes. You can add a greeting card with your own message and choose extras such as chocolates, a teddy bear, candles, balloons or a hamper.

These optional add-ons are selected while you order and are a simple way to make 20 roses feel more personal — a few handwritten words often matter as much as the flowers.

Each add-on is priced separately and added to your order total, so you can include as much or as little as you like before checkout.

Will the recipient know the flowers are from me?

By default, all our orders are anonymous — we don't reveal the sender's name unless you choose to.

If you'd like the recipient to know who sent the roses, simply add your name to the card message when ordering. Leave it out and the delivery won't identify you, which suits surprises and anonymous gestures.

The card text is entirely yours to write, so you control exactly what the recipient reads.

Can I order 20 roses from outside the UK for delivery within the country?

Yes. You can place an order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a UK address; our site and payment system support international orders.

We deliver to most areas across the UK, though Northern Ireland isn't currently covered. The delivery options for the recipient's postcode appear during ordering, so you can confirm what's possible before paying.

Payment is accepted by PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, as well as major cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others) through Shopify Payments, which keeps ordering from abroad straightforward. Available cards can vary according to your region and card issuer. Every price is shown inclusive of VAT.
